7. Editorial Policy

Our goal for APJSB is that it be an excellent small business research journal of which the editorial team, the authors, subscribers, members, and our sustaining patrons and other sponsors, can all be proud. While APJSB is the premier small business research journal of the KASBS, its success is very much due to its being, from its inception, increasingly, a global journal representing asia and pacific areas. Our purpose is to build upon and enhance the geographic and intellectual diversity of the journal to help small business more competitive and sustainable compared with big firms. To accomplish this, APJSB will continue to publish in its traditional areas of small business excellence, while seeking to more fully represent other research streams related to small business in its pages, so as to continue and expand on that tradition of excellence. Therefore, we welcome interesting and intellectually rigorous work, whether it be analytical, empirical, archival, or experimental; based in economics, psychology, sociology, or other disciplines.

We want APJSB and the annual KASBS conference to be a first choice for researchers, professionals and managers seeking an outlet for their best work. To achieve these ambitions, our associate editors are empowered to make editorial decisions up to and through the final acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. Moreover, while they are encouraged to work with authors to improve the paper, our goal is to accept or reject the paper early in the review process
